Auki Cable Landing Station

The Auki and Taro Cable Landing Stations were shipped by barge together from Honiara 20th June, arriving first in Auki on 21st June.

The Auki Cable Landing Station and generator were transferred from the wharf to the site in Auki town, behind the Police Station and lifted on to their foundations on the same day.

Work continues on the supply of mains power while Fletcher Kwaimani build awnings and entry stairs.

Once mains are supplied, by the end of June, Alcatel will commence the installation of the cable equipment.
